"Hello and welcome ...
I am Paul Emery, Pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, and I want to thank you for visiting our website.
Trinity Church has been in ministry here on Niagara Falls Boulevard for over 50 years and we continually seek to make Disciples for Jesus Christ and fulfill the opportunities and possibilities that God has given us. We are a community of families and friends who gather together for the work of ministry.
We hope you come join us someday soon as we gather as families and friends in faith and hope, add a giggle or two and in the grace of God as we walk together as one."
Sandy Ackerman, Minister of Music, has been Trinity's organist and choir director since 1998. She has a Masters Degree from the Manhattan School of Music, New York, New York, in Piano Performance. Sandy was previously employed by the Amherst Community Church.
Sandy has been employed by many professional opera companies around the country including the Tri-Cities Opera Company, Seattle Opera Company, Boston Lyric, and Brooklyn Opera. She has extensive acting/directing experience and has worked with the Cortland Repertory Theater and the Carousel Music Theater in Boothbay Harbor, Maine.
Mrs. Ackerman is self-employed as a vocal coach and accompanist and has worked with many local companies through the years including Buffalo Opera Unlimited, Operalytes, and the Greater Buffalo Opera. Currently she is musical directing for the Niagara Regional Theater, whose recent and current productions include My Fair Lady, the Secret Garden, and Music Man.
Sandy is a full-time music teacher for the Buffalo Public Schools where her students are active and competing in college and Erie County choruses. She enjoys participating in a collaborative program at Buffalo State where she mentors young college students who are planning to become teachers.
Sandy loves working at Trinity and would urge anyone who loves to sing (whether they can read music or not) to come to choir rehearsal and give it a try. "We have a very close and loving choir", she said. "It 's like a family". She states, "Our goal is to minister the best we can to this wonderful congregation."
